The author

Durval Lourenço Pereira Jr. is Lt. Col. (Ret.) of the Brazilian Army. Masters Degree in Military Operations of the Brazilian Officers’ School, he was the Military Advisor to the Cabinet of Institutional Security of the Presidency of the Republic and active member of Campineira Academy of Letters, Arts and Sciences of the Brazilian Armed Forces. In 2007, he produced and directed the documentary The "Blue Lapa" The Men of the Third Battalion of the 11th Infantry Regiment in WWII, exhibited and distributed by The History Channel, A&E and RT (Russian Television) for Europe, the Americas and Asia.
